(February 30, 2011 – Waynesboro, VA) - DASCOM Americas, a recognized leader in complete business printing solutions and marketer of Tally, TallyGenicom and TallyDASCOM branded serial printers previously marketed by TallyGenicom Corporation, is pleased to announce several complementary product lines to its already robust core of business print solutions.
The new offering is being “soft launched” beginning mid March and will include robust thermal printers designed to compete where rugged design and ease of operation are paramount. The models, marketed under the 7xxx line of thermals, includes the feature-rich 7010R, the moderately priced 7206 and the space conscious 7106, designed for small footprint applications.
The thermals are an important ancillary product group primarily targeted at large population print bases. They include the most popular emulations and are perhaps best differentiated in their respective product classes by their extremely rugged cabinetry and ease-of-loading features. Further, the high end 7010R counts among its built in attributes, an auto rewind feature not prevalent in the thermal industry.
The second group of specialty printers also announced in soft launch phase includes the 1125/1225 serial matrix products that combine a level of print speed and features normally found only on more expensive models of printers.
According to Juan Vidaurrazaga, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, “The 1125/1225 serial models are extremely price competitive and contain many features you would not expect to find on printers with so small a footprint. Their compact design, built-in serial interface, 7 million character ribbon life and price point certainly make them an attractive option for larger installed bases where economy is key. Further, they are well-designed to capitalize on business opportunities in emerging markets where price elasticity and aesthetic appeal are prime selling points.”
Rounding out the soft launch of product are the 1318, 1325 and 1430 flatbed printers. According to Ken Bryant, Product Marketing Manager, “The flatbed printers present an interesting entry point for our company relative to front office application printing. The 1318 is a 9-pin that has an easy-to-use control panel and you have the option to use either pre-cut or tractor fed paper. The 1325 24-pin has a great space saving design with standard USB and parallel interfaces, while the 1430 provides the same interfaces and is also 24-pin, but has the capacity to print to 106 columns. These products are ideally suited for auto dealerships, ticketing, retail outlets and a host of other vertical markets.”
