DASCOM Americas Announces New Card Printer Models Designed for Kiosk Market Space
DASCOM Americas, a recognized industry leader in complete business technology solutions announces three new printers in the Americas’ market segment that are designed and focused for kiosk integration applications.
The KT-200, DK-670, and DST-85 are new printers to the Americas markets and were previously released in the last six months in other international geographies by DASCOM.
The printers encompass a broad spectrum of kiosk print ranges and provide everything from entry level kiosk printing to mid-range and advanced features.
The KT-200 is a direct-to-card printer specifically designed for kiosk applications. Thanks to its modular structure, different components such as printing, flipping, or cleaning modules are built into an all-metal housing and can be combined to address various and specific needs. With its compact design, this printer occupies minimal space while delivering fast and sharp results. A resolution of up to 300 x 1,200 dpi edge-to-edge ensures fine detail printing, and with a print speed of up to 180 cards per hour in color, even large print jobs can be completed quickly.
Easily exchangeable high-capacity ribbons provide hassle-free printing for daily use. Its compact size ensures that the printer occupies only a small amount of space inside the kiosk machine.
Retransfer printing is the next level of on demand card printing technology and the DK-670 delivers. Utilizing a high-resolution 600 dpi printhead, the resulting images are vibrant, high-definition and fully over the edge of the card. This technique is suitable for heavy duty printing with improved card reliability and thus ideal for a large variety of card types, such as:
• Travel ID cards
• Entry permit cards
• Resident cards
• Identity cards
• High quality card applications
• Driver Licenses
• Student ID cards
• Finance cards
The DST-85 is an all-in-one portable solution specifically designed for printing cards on-demand, on location, and where space is limited. Inside its compact housing there is a PC and a modern direct-to-card printer with a card capacity for 100 cards. Different functions can be selected via the integrated touch display and the DASCOM user interface can be adapted to customer specific requirements. Thanks to the built-in camera and fingerprint sensor, various security features can be integrated.
Whether high-quality admission tickets for special events or on-site access solutions - with the DST-85, virtually anything is possible.
Mike Wojciak, Director of Card Printer Sales for North America says of the new printers: “DASCOM continues to offer robust and unique technology and print solutions across a large spectrum of applications.
